大都會隊雷神此戰也投的相當精采，先發7局只被打出2支安打沒失分，三振10次、保送3次，表現滿分，8局Addison Reed上場中繼1局也沒失分，但9局上「守護神」Jeurys Familia上陣，卻被Conor Gillaspie轟出3分彈，一棒定江山，巨人隊晉級首輪季後賽，大都會淘汰。
